FirstBank CEO Jim Reuter to speak on business resilience at February 9 event
CU Denver Business School student David Trinh will host a town hall meeting with FirstBank CEO Jim Reuter on Wednesday, February 9 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Business School’s Jake Jabs Event Center. Aimed to inspire the next generation of business leaders, the discussion will delve into how Reuter’s work experience, resilience and drive have shaped the leader he is today. The event is free and open to the campus community and the public.
Reuter began his banking career at FirstBank in 1987 and was previously the company’s Chief Operating Officer where he oversaw many divisions of the bank including loan/mortgage operations, IT, online banking, payments, contact center, online account/loan acquisition and cash management. FirstBank has attributed many of the bank’s IT products and innovations over the years to the leadership and guidance of Reuters. Prior to his roles in operations and IT, Reuter served as a loan officer in Palm Desert, Calif. at FirstBank.
“Jim has dedicated his career to financial banking, an industry I would like to be part of after graduation,” says Trinh. “I also hope to get some insight into how he started in IT and eventually became CEO. As an information systems and finance specialist, it’s inspiring to see someone transforming their technology experience. in leadership.
